Legal Expectations & Professional Standards

At Enneahouse, clarity protects trust. The following outlines our professional standards, service boundaries, and mutual expectations. A signed Coaching Agreement governs all paid services.

1. Our Role: What Coaching Is (and Is Not)

a. Enneahouse provides Enneagram-based coaching for personal, relational, and leadership development.

b. Coaching is educational and growth-oriented. It is not: therapy or psychological counseling; psychiatric or medical care; crisis intervention; medication management.

c. If needs arise beyond coaching scope, we may recommend appropriate licensed professionals. d. Clients remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

2. Coaching Agreement Requirement

a. All clients will sign a written Coaching Agreement before the first paid session. b. That Agreement covers: scope of services, payment and cancellation terms, confidentiality, boundaries and limitations, upgrade policies. c. If a client chooses not to proceed before payment, no obligation exists for either party.

3. Safety, Dignity & Respect

Every session must be safe for all participants. We do not permit: harassment or intimidation; sexual misconduct; discriminatory or degrading speech; coercion or manipulation; recording sessions without written consent. Enneahouse commits to treating clients with professionalism and compassion, avoiding shame-based or manipulative tactics, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Services may be declined or discontinued if safety or respect is compromised.

4. Confidentiality

Session content is kept confidential except when: required by law; there is credible risk of harm to self or others; abuse of a minor, elder, or vulnerable person is disclosed; a court order compels disclosure. In Couple, Family, and Business sessions, confidentiality is shared among participants.

5. Free Typing Interview is Required

Enneahouse will postpone any Free Typing Interview where the client has not taken the Free Typing Test on this site at least 2 hours before the set time, or has not provided an Enneagram type from another source at least 1 hour before. Clients are responsible for setting a new Free Typing Interview if the first is postponed due to non-compliance. Clients must be made aware that their type as determined in the Typing Interview may be different from the test results. All participants are required to have participated in the Free Typing Interview before any other services are rendered. No contract is needed for a Free Typing Interview.

6. Package Assignment

Individuals seeking Enneahouse's services will be expected to give an answer in writing about whether they will pursue any further Package within 72 hours after their Typing Interview. Failure to comply will result in blocking of further services. Clients who send email confirming which (if any) package they have chosen not less than 15 minutes before the Typing Interview will receive a 5% discount on their chosen package. Should Clients elect for a package but then choose not to sign the contract at that time, no money will be charged. It is the signing of the contract that sets the payment requirement.

7. Possibilities of Discounts

Enneahouse gives discounts to those who can provide: student identification; military identification; veteran identification; law enforcement identification; senior (65+) identification. Enneahouse reserves the right to assign discounts on an individual basis.

8. Personal Responsibility & Emotional Risk

Growth work can involve emotional discomfort. By participating, clients acknowledge that self-examination can be challenging, outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and change depends on personal honesty and implementation. Clients assume responsibility for choices made outside of sessions.

9. Digital & Recording Policy

Sessions may not be recorded without written consent. Materials may not be reproduced or distributed without permission. Clients are responsible for securing their own devices and internet access. We take reasonable precautions to protect digital privacy.

10. Payment Overview

Standard billing estimates to $50 per Enneahouse employee per hour. Private Packages: Payment due within one week of the first paid session. Business Packages: Payment due one week prior to the first Typing Interview. Late payments may result in service pauses and late fees. Payments are generally non-refundable due to reserved time, preparation, and materials.

11. Cancellations

Less than 8 hours' notice may incur a fee. 15+ minutes late may be treated as cancellation. We understand that life happens and extend discretion when appropriate.

12. Package Boundaries

Packages are non-transferable once started. Upgrades require a signed addendum. Private and Business packages cannot be converted into one another. Sessions remain within the relational scope purchased. Full upgrade and pricing details are provided in the Pricing Map on the Pricing Page.

13. In-Person Sessions

In-person meetings require prepaid and agreed travel arrangements and health and safety accommodations. We reserve the right to decline travel if safety or health conditions are unsuitable. Digital sessions are encouraged when appropriate. In-Person sessions for Individuals or Couples are limited to 15-minute drive from Coach's residence. In-Person sessions for Families: 30-minute drive for families smaller than 8; 60-minute drive for families smaller than 12. Travel for businesses must be discussed on an individual basis.

14. Working With Minors

Clients under 18 require signed parental consent. Parents are financially responsible for minors. Children under 8 may not participate in Family sessions. Children under 12 must have a parent present. We may decline services if participation appears developmentally or emotionally inappropriate.

15. Possible Denial of Service

Enneahouse reserves the right to deny services after the Free Typing Interview where a conflict of interest may arise. Enneahouse is not required to explain the reasoning. Enneahouse will only deny services when it has been determined by a signed agreement of all Enneahouse employees that a positive Coach-Client relationship cannot exist. Enneahouse will not deny services already paid for and contracted even if a conflict of interest arises.

16. Only One Coach

Pursuant to laws in our legal jurisdiction, Enneahouse currently has only one licensed Enneagram Coach. He is male and married. Male clients are strongly encouraged to work with him regardless of preference. Female clients willing to work with him if another person is present may request the presence of one other person at any session; our Coach's wife is willing to attend sessions as needed at no extra charge. Female clients unwilling to work with him will be referred to the nearest female Enneagram Coach. Clients should be aware that he is an Enneagram Type 4w5.

17. Dispute Resolution

If concerns arise, we encourage direct communication first. Should a dispute occur, parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution and mediation before pursuing legal action, as detailed in the Coaching Agreement.

18. Intellectual Property

All Enneahouse-created materials remain the property of Enneahouse and may not be reproduced or distributed without written (including emailed) permission. The Enneagram system itself is not owned by Enneahouse. Its use outside of Enneahouse is strongly encouraged.

19. Legal Jurisdiction

Services are governed by the laws of the State of Utah in the United States of America. This mandates that all Couples Sessions be between Couples who either can be or are legally married under Utah State law. This requires that our Coach not be legally allowed to speak on psychological conditions that require the services of a licensed counselor. Formal legal terms are outlined in the signed Coaching Agreement. Any tariffs imposed on services between nations will be charged at international clients' expense. Current conversion rate at the time of contract is taken into account when assigning international values.

Our Mutual Commitment

We commit to: professional excellence; ethical conduct; compassionate engagement; clear boundaries. We ask clients to commit to: honesty; responsibility; respect; willing participation. Enneahouse is not responsible for outcomes that are less than ideal due to lack of client compliance.
